  • Leah
    Certified Veterinary Technician, Clinic Operations Director

    Leah graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree from University of Minnesota, Waseca in 1992 and became certified in March 1993. Her career at Cannon Valley Vet Clinic started in 1994. Her favorite part of her job has been the lasting relationships made with our clients and their fur babies! Leah has many hobbies outside of work. One of her most recent hobbies are crafts, right now she is working with epoxy and resin. When she can, she loves to travel. She hopes to travel more around the country in the future!

  • Melissa
    Senior Lead Certified Veterinary Technician, Fear Free Certified

    Melissa graduated from Riverland Community College with a 2 year degree in Liberal Arts then moved on to Argosy University and graduated in 2007 with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Veterinary Science Technology. She began her journey at Cannon Valley Vet Clinic over 15 years ago. Melissa is passionate in using a fear free approach for animals in the clinic and being a voice of the animals. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family. Her future goals include working towards a fear free clinic for the animals and becoming an even better leader. Melissa works wonders with cats that are fearful of the vet clinic but has hopes to further reduce their anxiety by creating a safe, calm space for just cats in the clinic to help reduce stress from other animals.

  • Chloe
    Certified Veterinary Technician, Fear Free Certified

    Chloe graduated from Dakota County Technical College in 2019. She started her career at Cannon Valley as a kennel attendant in November 2017 and began working in the clinic in 2018 while going to school to obtain her degree. Chloe’s favorite part of her job is working in the laboratory and assisting in surgery/dentistry. Outside of work, she spends her time working on home renovations. In the future, Chloe hopes to continue to travel and one day visit a foreign country!

  • Tammy
    Certified Veterinary Technician, Receptionist, Fear Free Certified

    Tammy graduated from University of Minnesota, Wasceca and became a certified veterinary technician soon after. In 1991, Tammy joined Cannon Valley Vet Clinic to start her career and has been with us since! One thing that she loves about her job is the relationships she has made with clients over 30 years. Tammy is passionate about helping owners with their pet family members. When not at the clinic, she spends time with family, driving her general around, watching sporting events and gardening. Tammy also loves kayaking and biking on the Sakotah State Trail. Tammy has big plans to travel more in the near future and hopes to continue to stay healthy!

  • Katie
    Certified Veterinary Technician, Fear Free Certified, Part Time Employee

    Katie graduated from Argosy University with her Associate in Applied Science degree in Veterinary Science in 2007. She started at Cannon Valley Vet in 2016. Katie is fond of the human/animal bond between owners and their pets. Her favorite part of her job is working with geriatric animals. “There is nothing sweeter than a senior dog or cat”. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and backyard chickens! A long term goal for her is to own a hobby farm with a pony or two!

  • Wendy
    Veterinary Technician, Fear Free Certified

    Wendy graduated from Baker College, Michigan in 1980. She has been a technician since 1978 and has been at Cannon Valley Vet since 2019. Wendy's passion in this field is nursing care. It warms her heart to see animals happy and healthy after providing exceptional care to them. Outside of work, Wendy spends her time raising and rescuing the gaited horse with her husband. Wendy loves to spend time with her grandchildren when she can. In the near future, she plans to breed long haired German Shepherds.

  • Jess
    Certified Veterinary Technician, Fear Free Certified

    Jess graduated from Argosy University and got her Associate of Applied Science in 2013. Jess has been a technician since graduating but joined Cannon Valley Vet Clinic in spring of 2019. A favorite part of her job includes first puppy and kitten exams and client education. She also enjoys dentistry and parasitology. Jess is also passionate about photography and takes profile pictures for our patients as well as photography outside of work. Jess also spends her free time hunting, fishing, and working on craft projects. In the future, Jess hopes to grow her photography business, explore new craft project ideas, and take up baking and cooking!

  • Chelsi
    Certified Veterinary Technician, Fear Free Certified

    Chelsi graduated from Minnesota School of business in 2015 and started her veterinary technician career 7 years ago. She started at Cannon Valley Vet Clinic in 2020. Chelsi’s favorite part of her job includes phlebotomy and laboratory skills. Chelsi is passionate about being an advocate for those who have no voice. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, puzzles, and taking care of her chickens and other 4 legged pals. Chelsi hopes to one day own a hobby farm as well as a sphynx cat!

  • Darcie
    Certified Veterinary Technician

    Darcie graduated from Minnesota School of Business and obtained her Associates in Applied Science in 2015. Prior to this she was a hairdresser. Darcie began her career at Cannon Valley Vet Clinic in February 2021. Her favorite part of her job is the science behind this field and figuring out why animals hurt, how they present it, and the care needed to help them recover. Seeing all the happy animals coming in, wagging their tails is another added bonus! When not working, Darcie enjoys going on walks/hikes, water activities like kayaking and fishing, and traveling. A future goal she holds for herself is to be the best mom she can be to her daughter and to keep traveling, even when she’s in her 80’s.

  • Katey
    Certified Veterinary Technician, Fear Free Certified, Part-Time Employee

    Katey graduated from Argosy and obtained her Associates in Applied Science in 2018. She has been a technician for 4 years and joined Cannon Valley Vet Clinic in August of 2022. Katey’s favorite part of her job is building relationships with people and their pets. Katey also is passionate towards nursing care and helping make our 4 legged pales feel better. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, exploring with her pups, cross stitching, going to concerts, listening to popcast and many more activities! Afuture goal she has for herself is to visit Banff National Park! She also hopes to continue to travel, visit more National U.S Parks, and see the pacific northwest!

    Veterinary Assistant

    Leann joined Cannon Valley Vet Clinic in May of 2006. As a Veterinary Assistant, she keeps the technicians and Doctors on schedule and is always willing to help out where needed. Her favorite part of her job is educating clients about pet care and watching pets grow over the years! Outside of work, she enjoys reading, going for walks, and spending time with her lovely grandchildren. Leann hopes to one day move out to the country, watching sunrises and sunsets and owning many animals

  • Marie
    Veterinary Assistant

    Marie graduated from University of River Falls with a degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in Companion Animal Management in 2021. She began her career here in 2014, starting in kennels and began working in the veterinary clinic in 2020 while working towards her degree. Marie’s favorite part of her job is being able to work with a great team and getting to be there to help through life struggles. Marie is passionate towards being a voice for those who don’t. Maries hobbies include reading, hiking, biking, going to concerts, collecting vinyl, and traveling. Her future goals include learning to play guitar and to go to every national state park!

  • Cassaundra
    Veterinary Assistant, Fear Free Certified

    Cassuandra has worked at Cannon Valley Vet Clinic since 2019. Her favorite part of this field is learning and teaching new things with others. It warms her heart to see a pet recover from an illness/injury. New puppy and kitten appointments are a big plus too! Outside of work, Cassaundra has many hobbies such as working on many crafts, spending time with her dogs and snuggling her cats, and game nights with her friends! Cassaundra plans to eventually own her dream home on a farm with many types of animals.

  • Kali
    Veterinary Technician

    Kali graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree from Dakota County Technical College. She began working at Cannon Valley Vet Clinic in June of 2022. Her favorite part of her job is working with many different unique breeds of dogs and cats and helping animals thrive. Puppy visits are an added bonus to the job! In her free time, Kali likes four wheeling, fishing, and going on many adventures with her fur baby. In the future, she hopes to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. After that, she hopes to buy her own house with plenty of land for all the animals she hopes to have. Kali also wants to travel to Europe one day as well!

  • Theresa
    Receptionist

    Theresa took 2 years of Animal Care at Dakota County Technical College and also has a degree in Light Horse Management from University of Minnesota, Waseca. She joined Cannon Valley Vet Clinics team in 2020. Her favorite part of her job is seeing all the furry animals walk through the door! She often tells her husband “you should’ve seen the cutest puppy that came in today!” He typically replies with, “aren’t they all cute?” For which Theresa responds with “Absolutely, but you should have seen THIS one!” Theresa is an amazing chef and baker and enjoys doing this outside of work. She also enjoys craft projects, working out, mini-golf, and walking her dogs. She hopes to one day own her own “mini” farm with a variety of animals such as donkeys, horses, cows, pigs, and goats!

  • Jackie
    Receptionist

    Jackie joined Cannon Valley Vet Clinic in September 2022. As a full time receptionist, she gets to enjoy her favorite part of her job which is the opportunity to meet new people every day. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking/exploring, working out, going out with friends. Movie nights or watching sports is also a favorite activity of hers. Jackie hopes to one day own a house with a huge fenced in yard for her dogs to be able to run and frolic around!
